LATEST FUEL TO GO & PLAY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP NEWS
2026 Information
Starting in 2026, the Fuel to Go & Play Junior Club Championships will introduce update age groupings for all competitions. There will now be two divisions:
- J 7/8/9
- J 10/11/12
These changes reflect the structure used in some regional junior competitions and aim to create a fresh experience for metropolitan clubs.
The revised format will give teams access to a broader pool of players compared to previous years, with the goal of supporting separate Girls and Boys competitions in the J 10/11/12 division.
In 2026, both Fuel to Go & Play Junior Club Championship tournaments are planned to be held at Perth Hockey Stadium. Proposed dates are available in the dropdown sections below.

GENERAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
Goalkeepers must be padded up on the field at all times.
Penalty Corners will be played out after the whistle.
First Named Teams will be responsible for time keeping and scoring the game.
There will be no extra time - Semi Finals winner will be determined from the highest ranked team. Grand Finals will go to a shootout in all divisions.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- All sticks need to be indoor only with some form of tape on the end/tip
- All shoes need to be indoor, non-marking shoes
- All metal masks need to have any protruding metal taped
- No food or drink in the Sports Halls, except for water or bottled sports drinks
- No hitting balls in the Foyer, Corridors or the First Floor
- Carpet tiles will be laid down on either side of the goals to protect the floor from masks being thrown off during play
- Each team will need to supply a roll of tape to tape any sticks or masks that players have not already taped

Date: Sunday 26 July, 2026
Time: 8.30am to 1.30pm (subject to volume of nominations)
Location: Alderbury Reserve, Floreat
Divisions
- Years 1 & 2 (5-a-side): Perfect for our youngest stars to shine on the field!
- Years 3 & 4 Gold (7-a-side): Ideal for players and teams new to the hockey scene.
- Years 3 & 4 Black (7-a-side): For seasoned players with 1-2 years of experience.
Match Format
- 15 minute games, no half time, five-minute cross over period
- Each team must have an umpire to umpire their games
Registration
- Open to all Hockey WA affiliated clubs and associations
- Registration fee: $80 per team, payable through the online portal

Date: Sunday 23 August, 2026
Time: 9am to 2pm (subject to volume of nominations)
Location: Busselton Hockey Stadium
Divisions
- Years 1 & 2 (5-a-side): Perfect for our youngest stars to shine on the field!
- Years 3 & 4 Gold (7-a-side): Ideal for players and teams new to the hockey scene.
- Years 3 & 4 Black (7-a-side): For seasoned players with 1-2 years of experience.
- Years 5 & 6 (Mixed 7-a-side + optional GK)
Match Format
- 15 minute games, no half time, five-minute cross over period
- Each team must have a guide/umpire for all games
Registration
- Open to all Hockey WA affiliated clubs and associations
- Registration fee: $78 per team, payable through the online portal

- All clubs are encouragd to set up tents and displays with team colours and face painting!
- Fixtures will be emailed to the team contact in the week before the carnival. Every effort will be made to ensure that these do not change.
