Hockey WA Announces Establishment of 2020 U13 State Talent Development Trials

With there being no State Team opportunities within 2020 arising due to COVID, Hockey WA would like to acknowledge the importance for athletes to be given exposure to game play and competition opportunities to continue their growth, development and enjoyment of the game.
Hockey WA is proud to announce the establishment of the HWA U13 State Talent Development Trials. The Trials provides an exciting opportunity for athletes born in 2007 and 2008 to be able to partake in hockey activities and competition in an elite environment, whilst also providing a pathway for selection into the two Hockey WA U13 Talent Development Teams - these Teams will partake in a tournament on the 28th and 29th of November – more details to follow.
Hockey WA is delighted to be able to provide these opportunities to athletes during these trying times – Note, these selections will not impact 2021 State Team selections - instead it is a chance to provide competition play in 2020 for our developing athletes.

TRIALS INFORMATION:
Cost: $45.00 +GST
Dates:
Boys Trials
Trial 1A: Saturday 10th October 2020 – 8:00am-10:00am or 10:00am-12:00pm
AND
Trial 1B: Sunday 11th October 2020 – 10:00am-12:00pm or 2:00pm-4:00pm
Trial 2: Sunday 18th October 2020 – 12:00pm-2:00pm
Girls Trial Dates
Trial 1A: Saturday 10th October 2020 – 8:00am-10:00am or 10:00am-12:00pm
AND
Trial 1B: Sunday 11th October 2020 – 10:00am-12:00pm or 12:00pm-2:00pm
Trial 2: Sunday 18th October 2020 – 2:00pm-4:00pm
From Trial 1, there will be a reduced number of athletes selected to progress to Trial 2 from which two U13 State Talent Development Teams will be selected. Options are provided in the registration portal for your preferred Trial time, although preferences can’t be guaranteed – priority going to regional athletes to cater towards their travels. Once nominations are closed time slot allocations will be confirmed.
