Nominations open for State Under-18 Teams

Hockey WA are now taking nominations for players wishing to be considered for the 2024 Under 18 State Mens and Womens Teams.
These trials will be used to select two (2) teams per gender to compete at the Under 18 Australian Championships to be held in Gold Coast, Queensland from 3 to 11 July 2024.
To be eligible to nominate for Under 18 State selection a player must be born after 1 January 2006.

Given the expected high volume of nominations, athletes will be split into two groups for Trial 1. Players will be required to attend both Saturday 13th April 2024 and Sunday 14th April 2024. Group and trial allocations will be communicated after nominations close.
Following Trial 1, numbers will be reduced and attendance to Trial 2 is by selection only. Selected athletes for Trial 2 will be required to attend both Saturday 20 April 2024 and Sunday 21 April 2024 trials. Athletes will be notified of their progression via the Hockey WA website.
Goalkeepers may be required to attend separate trial sessions due to the expected high volume of goalkeeper nominations.
Players are expected to attend all subsequent trials and training sessions should they be successful in progressing through the selection process.
Nominations close 11.59pm on Monday 8 April 2024
Note: Under 16 State Team athletes returning from Hobart will be exempt from the 1st round of trials on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April. You will not be required to apply for an exemption.
