Hockey WA is thrilled to announce yet another U25 Invitational International Tour to Bangalore, India.

Women's Tour from 1st October to 12th October, 2025.

Men's Tour from 13th October to 23rd October, 2025

After the successful men's tour earlier this year, another opportunity has come our way. 
The experience the athletes and staff have were amzing and it's a great chance for us to take a women's team also.

As per the last tour, this tour has been organised in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI), following successful previous tours to Perth. As part of our Asian engagement strategy and a new Memorandum of Association with Hockey India, we have received an invitation to train and compete alongside members of their National Centres of Excellence.

Tour Details

• Duration: 10 days in Bangalore
• Activities:
  • Multiple matches
  • Training Sessions with the NCOE athletes
  • Video analysis sessions
  • Cultural tours

Costs

• The Sports Authority of India (SAI) will pay most of the expenses incurred while in India, including food and accommodation.
• Estimated cost for selected athletes: $4000.00, covering airfare, insurance, administration, and off-field support.
• Successful athletes will be invoiced in two separate invoices. by our Finance department. If you cannot pay this tour by the due date, you will need to discuss payment options with our Finance department. 
• Selected athletes will be responsible to pay for Visa costs into India (roughly $40.00-$50.00). Info sent to you once your place is confirmed. 

• Uniforms will be supplied by Hockey WA and returned post tour. Tour Shirt, Walkout shorts and Midlayer Top will be provided, as part of the cost. 
• The off-field support team will comprise a Head Coach and an Assistant Coach/Team Manager/Hockey WA Staff Member. 

Selection Criteria- Players

• Open to athletes aged 20 to 25 years.
• Must have been selected for an Under 18 Gold team or an Under 21 squad (30) in recent years. No under age athetes are permitted on this tour. 
• Hockey WA will select athletes deemed competitive against international teams.
• Final team selection is at the discretion of the coaches and Hockey WA, WAIS and Hockey Australia Technical leads

Important Dates

• Nominations Close: 12 Noon on Monday, 7th July 30th , 2025
• Team Confirmation: By COB on Thursday , 10th July , 2025

Note: There will be no trials; selection is based on past National Age performances.

Travel Requirements

A valid Australian passport with six months validity is mandatory for international travel during the tour dates.
