2025 KMSB YOUTH INTERNATIONAL GRYPHON CUP

The 2025 KMSB Youth International Gryphon Cup (YIGC) for boys and girls will be held in Perth from Thursday 20th November to Sunday 23rd November 2025. 

Nominations are now open to boys and girls for selection in the OMSB Outbacks Teams. In 2025, OMSB is coming on board as the team's major sponsor.  There will be ONE Regional boys team and ONE regional girls team selected from these Regional trials. 

Venue: Perth Hockey Stadium.

Trial Date:  

Saturday 4th October @ 3.00pm to 6.00pm (Girls Turf 1, Boys Turf 2)

Sunday 5th October @ 8.00am to 11.00am (Girls) Turf 1, Boys Turf 2.

Team Announcement:

COB Tuesday 7th October 2025.

Athlete Costs

Trial Nomination Fee: $75.00 

Tournament Fee: $250.00 (upon successful selection) Note: Do not pay this fee unless selected and link is sent to your email you register with. 

If you are successful in gaining entry into one of the four teams, you will be required to pay a tournament fee of $250.00. This price includes the tournament fees and a uniform consisting of a shirt, shorts and a pair of socks. A new uniform design has been crafted for this year's tournament, and as mentioned earlier, a new sponsor, OMSB, has been confirmed. In addition to the uniform, the costs include tournament fees, umpiring and turf costs. 

Tournament Preparation:
In addition to the tournament, there will be 6 x weekend trainings/games for selected athletes. After last year, we wanted to provide better preparation opportunities for regional athletes who needed to create better connections as a team before the event commenced. 

This will commence on Saturday 11th October/Sunday 12th October in Perth.  It will be a quick turnaround, within 5 days of team selection, therefore a link will be sent to all selected athletes to take part in the critical preparation period prior to the tournament. Something that was not offered last year until late in the preparation phase. 

The training will consist of the following:
3 x weekends of Training (Saturday and Sunday) Optional training has been made available- depending on coach decision.
3 x weekends of games (Saturday afternoon only) vs the three other WA-based teams. (Stars, Highlanders and Waves.)
