2022 WA Under-18 Boys Teams announced

The WA Under-18s State Boys teams have been finalised, with players selected to represent the black and gold at the upcoming National Championships on April 6 to 14 in Cairns, QLD.

The WA under-18s boys will look to continue their hot form from last year’s Championships, after finishing second, narrowly losing 2-1 to NSW in the final.

Hockey WA General Manager Performance and Development, Dean Evans, says WA is looking forward to having two sides in the Under-18s boys this year.

“This year we are sending two teams to the Under-18s National Championships in both genders,” Evans says.

“It’s exciting for WA hockey and especially our elite-level junior talent, with more players exposed than ever before to high-level competition play on the national stage.”

The training session for the two boys teams at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University this coming Monday is:

Monday 21 February 2022 from 5:30-7pm

The rest of the preparation program will be communicated direct with the players.
