2025 CBH Group Men's Country Championships Wrap

Bunbury & Districts Hockey Association have proven themselves a dominant force in the WA Country hockey scene, holding off Geraldton Hockey Association to claim their fourth straight CBH Group Men's Country Championship.
The 2025 CBH Group Men’s Country Championships saw 30 teams from as far south as the Great Southern to as far north as the Pilbara flock to Perth Hockey Stadium from Friday 20 June to Sunday 22 June.
From thrilling matchups to the strong sense of camaraderie among teammates, the three-day tournament was packed with energy and excitement, highlighting the finest hockey talent regional WA has to offer.
In an effort that reflected the WA Under-21 Men's team at the Under-21 National Championships in Bendigo, Bunbury charged through their competition without dropping a single game to earn themselves a spot in the Grand Final.
Despite suffering a number of tough losses in the Round Robin stage, Geraldton rose to the occasion, defeating Upper Great Southern Hockey Association 1-0 to face off against Bunbury in the Grand Final.
The Division 1 Grand Final was an intense affair between both teams, with Bunbury holding off a determined Geraldton outfit 3-2 to claim their fourth Men's Country Championship to much fanfare and excitement.
Division 2 culminated in a cross-town rivalry, with UGSHA getting the upper hand on Lower Great Southern Hockey Association 1-0 to claim the title, bouncing back from 0-1 loss to them in the Round Robin stage.
Pilbara Krocs continued their strong form in Division 3, defeating Avon Hockey Association 1-0 to pull off a perfect tournament run to claim the Championship.
Masters Division 1 saw an intense grand final between Geraldton and Bunbury, with neither side able to break the deadlock in regular time, forcing the final into shootouts.
In a tight affair, Geraldton overcame Bunbury 2-1 in shootouts to claim the Masters Division 1 Championship.
In Masters Division 2, Busselton Hockey Association capped off a perfect tournament run, defeating Eastern Districts Hockey Association 2-0 to claim the title.
