2025 Hockey WA Grand Final Day FAQs

It's finally here: the 2025 Hockey WA Grand Final Day is set to take over Perth Hockey Stadium with an action-packed day of Grand Final fixtures across various divisions, headlined by the Stiles Electrical Premier League Grand Finals.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of the day's fixtures and festivities.


 

General Information

Q: Where is the Grand Final being held?
A: Perth Hockey Stadium, Curtin University.

Q: What time do the gates open?
A: Gates to Perth Hockey Stadium will be open from 8.00am ahead of the J9/10 Division 1 Grand Finals. The Perth Hockey Stadium Café will be open from 8.30am, first bar service will commence from 11.00am, and the venue will remain open until 7pm.

Q: How many people are expected to attend Perth Hockey Stadium?
A: Perth Hockey Stadium and Hockey WA staff anticipate around 2,500 spectators will attend Perth Hockey Stadium.

Tickets & Entry

Q: Do I need to purchase tickets?
A: Spectators will be required to pay a $10 entry fee at the gate. Children aged under 18 are free.

Q: Are pass-outs allowed?
A: Yes, pass-out stamps will be issued at the gate. Re-entry requires a valid stamp.

Q: Is there a bag check on entry?
A: Yes. Security will conduct bag checks. Small snacks are permitted; alcohol is strictly prohibited.

Venue Rules

Q: Can I bring a tent or shade structure?
A: Spectators may bring a tent or shade structure to Perth Hockey Stadium but you must notify and coordinate placement in advance with Hockey WA Operations Manager, Toni Cronk at toni.cronk@hockeywa.org.au.

Q: Can I bring club or sponsor signage or banners?
A: Yes, but approval is required. To organise approval, please contact Hockey WA Senior Manager - Marketing & Communications, Zac Lewis at zac.lewis@hockeywa.org.au.

Q: Can we enter the field of play?
A:No. Only players, officials, and accredited staff may enter.

Q: Can I bring food?
A: Yes, small snacks are permitted.

Q: Can I bring alcohol?
A:No. Alcohol is strictly prohibited and security will be conducting bag checks.

Q: What about team manager gifts that include alcohol?
A: Please leave them at the Gatehouse or in your car. They cannot enter the venue.

Q: Can I bring my dog/pet to Perth Hockey Stadium?
A:
 No dogs/pets are permitted anywhere in the venue.

Q: Is there a smoking/vaping area at Perth Hockey Stadium?
A: No smoking and no vaping is permitted anywhere in the venue.

Food & Beverage

Q: Will there be food and drinks available?
A: Yes, food and drinks are available within the Stadium Bar & Café, food vendors located within the Stadium, as well as multiple pop-up bars around the venue.

Q: Will drinks be served in glass?
A:No, Paper cups will be used.

Q: Is there an alcohol-free area?
A: Yes, the southern end near Turf 1 is an alcohol-free area and is ideal for families.

Behaviour & Safety

Q: Can objects be thrown onto the field?
A: No
. Spectators seen throwing objects onto the field of play will be given one warning only; repeat offenders will be removed.

Q: Will there be medical staff onsite?
A: Yes. If you need medical attention/assistance, alert staff or security. First Aid Officers are onsite all day.

Q: Will security be present?
A: Yes, across all areas.

Parking & Transport

Q: Is there parking available?
A: Yes, at Curtin University. It is recommended to arrive early to ensure a spot close to the Perth Hockey Stadium entrance. Please find below a map of available parking.

Q: Can I take public transport to Perth Hockey Stadium?
A: If you can, it is recommended you take public transport to Perth Hockey Stadium. The closest bus stop to Perth Hockey Stadium is the Curtin Central Bus Station, just a short walk away from the entrance. Please utilise the Transperth Journey Planner to determine your best route.

Utilising ride-share services like Uber or Didi is also encouraged.
