2025 KMSB Youth International Gryphon Cup visiting teams announced

Published Wed 12 Nov 2025

The 2025 KMSB Youth International Gryphon Cup is just around the corner and Hockey WA is pleased to announce more of the teams set to compete in the ultimate showcase of junior outdoor hockey.

Hockey WA and Kimberley Marine Support Base (KMSB) have joined forces to facilitate a special opportunity for junior outdoor hockey players in Western Australia and beyond through the 2025 Youth International Gryphon Cup, taking place at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University, and the UWA Superturfs from Thursday 21 November to Sunday 24 November in our biggest tournament yet.

Running as part of Hockey WA's Asian Engagement program, the KMSB Youth International Gryphon Cup is an under-16 tournament for boys and girls played over four days, giving younger players the opportunity to experience hockey at an international level.

The tournament was first established as the FHE Cup and was since reintroduced as the Gryphon Cup in its return from COVID-19 interruptions in 2022 and has grown in its prestige as well as in the number of countries represented, positioning it as Asia's pre-eminent tournament for youth players to compete, improve and meet fellow aspirant hockey lovers from across the globe.

In the years that the tournament has taken place, it has attracted national, state and academy representative teams from within Australia, as well as from Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.

This year's tournament will welcome teams from Victoria, South Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and South Korea.

Best of luck to all teams competing!

The Youth International Gryphon Cup is proudly supported by Kimberley Marine Support Base (KMSB), who also back the Waves teams participating in the tournament. Onslow Marine Support Base (OMSB) is equally proud to support the Outbacks teams competing in the event.
