2026 CBH Group Men's Country Championships wrap

Bunbury & Districts Hockey Association have continued their remarkable run, securing a fifth consecutive Division 1 title at the CBH Group Men's Country Championships.

The 2026 CBH Group Men's Country Championships brought together 25 teams from across regional Western Australia - spanning the Great Southern to the Pilbara - at Perth Hockey Stadium from Friday 26 June to Sunday 28 June.

Across three days of competition, the tournament delivered thrilling matches, tightly contested encounters and outstanding displays of camaraderie, showcasing the strength and spirit of regional hockey.

The Division 1 Final saw Bunbury clinch the title for the fifth year in a row following a fiercely competitive contest. With the match seemingly headed for a shootout, a dramatic last-minute penalty corner sealed victory for Bunbury.

Brayden Dalton was named Division 1 Fairest & Best, further adding to Bunbury's success.

In Division 2, Upper Great Southern Hockey Association defeated a determined Miling side 3-1 to claim the championships, overturning their earlier 1-2 round robin loss.

Esperance Hockey Association's Ben Piercey was awarded Division 2 Fairest & Best honours.

Division 3 saw Geraldton Hockey Association claim a 3-0 win over Eastern Districts Hockey Association in the final. Central Great Southern's Gavin Whitehouse and Pilbara Krocs' Jack Nankivell were named joint Division 3 Fairest & Best.

Busselton secured the Division 4 title after an undefeated run through the combined Division 4 and Masters Division 2 round-robin competition. Daniel Shilling was awarded Fairest & Best, adding to Busselton's success.

In Masters Division 1, Geraldton claimed back-to-back titles with a dominant 4-0 victory over Lower Great Southern in the final. Lower Great Southern's Darren Parkes was named Fairest & Best.

Upper Great Southern Hockey Association took out the Masters Division 2 title, finishing the combined Division 4 and Masters Division 2 round-robin competition with five wins and one loss. Adam Piggott was awarded Fairest & Best.

Geraldton claimed the Singapore Cup, awarded to the association with the strongest overall performance across the tournament, while Miling's Brendan Payne finished as the competition's leading goal scorer.
