April Training Camps confirmed for Under 14 & Under 18 Managed IT Emerging Thundersticks Athletes

Hockey WA is excited to continue building the next generation of WA talent, with two Managed IT Emerging Thundersticks training camps scheduled for the April school holidays.

These camps will form a key part of preparation pathways ahead of the 2026 Hockey Australia Under 18 and Under 14 Championships in Darwin, NT, and Canberra, ACT respectively.

Both camps will provide aspiring State Team athletes with high-quality coaching, intense skill development, and an opportunity to train alongside peers preparing for elite competition.

Note: While both training camps will be taking place at Perth Hockey Stadium, Regional ETP athletes are welcome to register to participate.

Under 18 Managed IT Emegering Thundersticks April Training Camp

Athletes eligible for the 2026 Under 18 WA State Team selection trials are invited to take part in this three-day camp, taking place from Tuesday 7 April to Thursday 9 April.

Sessions will focus on preparing athletes for high-performance tournament play, with a blend of technical development and competitive training.

Goalkeepers will receive dedicated coaching from a Specialist Goalkeeper Coach, with an emphasis on repetitive efforts, first-touch quality and effective clearance work.

Under 14 Managed IT Emegering Thundersticks April Training Camp

Hockey WA will also run an April training camp for athletes aiming to trial for the 2026 Under 14 WA State Teams.

This camp will provide a valuable opportunity for young players to refine their foundational skills and experience an elevated training environment.

As with the Under 18 training camp, goalkeepers will benefit from the support of a Specialist Goalkeeper Coach, focusing on repetition, first touch, and clearance execution.
