Coaches, Officials required to register on RevSport prior to 2026 Season
Published Tue 10 Feb 2026
As the 2026 hockey season approaches, Hockey Australia now requires that all coaches, managers and officials must be registered via RevSport before training and competition commences. This national requirement is designed to strengthen support, development and safeguarding across the sport, and to ensure everyone contributing to hockey is recognised and connected.
More information via Hockey Australia can be found HERE.
Registration is required for anyone performing the following roles:
- Coaches (all levels)
- Team managers
- Any volunteer undertaking an on-field or match-day official role
- Umpires and officials
- Technical or bench officials
- Players who also coach, umpire or volunteer - please select your additional role(s) during your player registration
To be season-ready, clubs are asked to:
- Ensure all coaches and officials are registered in RevSport prior to the season starting
- Remind playing members to accurately declare any additional roles during registration. If members have already registered, they can update this by logging in to their profile on the Hockey WA website and selecting 'Profile' on the account page - find a guide HERE.
Registering coaches and officials helps hockey:
- Provide better training, education and support
- Strengthen safeguarding and compliance
- Build clearer development and accreditation pathways
- Improve communication with key workforce groups
- Create safer, more inclusive environments
This national approach is about building a stronger, more connected hockey community at every level.
