Expressions of Interest open for 2026 Perth Thundersticks Off-Field Team

As preparations begin for the 2026 Hockey One season, Hockey WA is inviting expressions of interest from individuals eager to join the Perth Thundersticks off-field performance team.
This recruitment process marks an important step in building a strong, connected, and high-performing support network around our athletes ahead of the upcoming Hockey One campaign.
This year, Hockey WA is placing a strong focus on strengthening the program by engaging former Western Australian players and coaches, alongside experienced community members who can contribute to the growth and success of the Thundersticks.
Individuals with diverse expertise are encouraged to apply. and applicants may nominate for multiple roles across both the men's and women's programs.
Positions Available
Hockey WA is recruiting for a broad range of roles across the performance environment, including:
- Coaching Staff
- Head Coach
- Assistant Coach
- Selectors
- Team Managers
- Medical Staff
- Physiotherapists
- Strength & Conditioning Staff
- Performance Analysts
- Specialist Coaching Staff
- Drag Flicking
- Goal Scoring
- Goal Keeping
- PCA/PCD
- Shootouts
- Training Support
- Weekeday training session support
- Weekend training for non-travelling athletes
- Match Day Support staff for all home fixtures
Applicants may express interest in the men's program, women's program, or both, depending on their interest and experience.
Selection Process
Once expressions of interest close, all submissions will be review by Hockey WA. Follow-up conversations may be held where needed to confirm experience, suitability, and interest areas. Recruitment will begin with the appointment of Head Coaches for both programs. Shortlisted candidates for these roles will be invited to present their season plan to the selection panel as part of the interview process.
