Get Ready for Pride Round 2025!

Perth Hockey Stadium is set to come alive with colour, community, and competition as the Stiles Electrical Premier League celebrates its biggest Pride Round yet on Saturday, 7 June.

This year's event will spotlight the LGBTQIA+ community with a full day of hockey action, entertainment, and inclusive celebration - headlined by a thrilling double-header between UWA and Westside Wolves.

The Men's Premier League match between UWA and Westside Wolves will kick off at 3.30pm. UWA, currently in third place, is riding a seven-game winning streak following their recent 3-1 win over Melville. Meanwhile, the Wolves, sitting in seventh place, have had a rollercoaster season. They recently bounced back from a narrow 4-3 loss to Fremantle Cockburn with a 7-4 win over North Coast Raiders in Indigenous Round. In last year's Pride Round match, UWA secured a 3-0 victory.

The Women's Premier League match will see reigning premiers Westside Wolves face off against UWA at 5.30pm. The Wolves have been undefeated throughout the 2025 season, coming off a 4-1 win over North Coast Raiders. They will look to maintain their dominant form twice in the same week, with a reschedules Round Four fixture against Reds on Tuesday, 3 June, prior to Saturday's match. UWA, currently in third place, has had their ups and downs this season, most recently holding off a determined Melville outfit 1-0 during Indigenous Round. Last year's Pride Round match ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw.

Between the two Premier League matches, fans can enjoy a special exhibition match featuring players from Westside Wolves, UWA, and Perth Pythons in a fun, fast-paced skirmish.

Adding flair to the festivities, the Perth Pythons will host a drag-flicking competition - where participants don wigs and heels to flick a ball as far as they can. Prizes are up for grabs, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun!

Team Perth will also be on hand with a community stall.

Hockey WA proudly supports Pride Round and is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive environment for all. This commitment was recently recognised with Silver-level certification in the Pride in Sport Index.

Perth Pythons were also honoured with the Most Improved Community Sporting Organisation award by Pride in Sport Australia, alongside their own Silver-level certification.

Pride-themed snacks will be available at the Perth Hockey Stadium Café alongside food specials and drink deals at the Champion's Bar throughout the day.

The Stiles Electrical Premier League double-header between Westside Wolves and UWA will be broadcast LIVE and FREE on Live Hockey WA.

Those with a Live Hockey WA subscription will be able to stream the other matches taking place at Perth Hockey Stadium and Melville Toyota Stadium across Hockey WA's junior and senior competitions.
