Hockey and WA’s Safe Transition Plan

Hockey WA is working through potential impacts on the sport following the announcement of the State Government’s Safe Transition Plan, which will see the easing of the hard border from 12:01 am on Saturday, 5 February 2022.  The locked-in transition date will see WA open its borders for interstate and overseas travel following COVID-19 restrictions. Hockey WA is working with Government and SportWest to understand potential and likely travel implications for hockey participants across the state and scenario planning possible impacts on the 2022 season.

No changes to are expected to the current arrangements before 5 February 2022.  Hockey WA will work with all relevant agencies in the new year to ensure that we have the most recent information regarding COVID planning and vaccination requirement.
