Hockey WA Achieves Silver in 2026 Pride in Sport Index

Hockey WA is proud to announce that, once again, the organisation has been recognised in the Pride in Sport Index—achieving Silver Level certification for the third consecutive year.

This milestone reflects Hockey WA’s ongoing commitment to fostering LGBTQI+ inclusion across the sport.

The Pride in Sport Index is Australia’s only national benchmarking framework dedicated to assessing the inclusion of people with diverse sexualities and genders within sporting organisations and codes. It recognises the efforts of sporting bodies that actively work to create safe, welcoming, and inclusive environments for all participants.

This year’s Silver Level certification reaffirms Hockey WA’s dedication to ensuring hockey in Western Australia is a sport for everyone, regardless of background or identity. It continues the organisation’s positive trajectory in inclusive practice, following Bronze Level recognition in 2023 and Silver Level achievements in 2024 and 2025.

Hockey WA remains committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion at every level of the game—both on and off the field.

Hockey WA also congratulates Perth Pythons Hockey Club on their outstanding recognition as Community Sporting Organisation of the Year and Gold Community Sporting Organisation.
