Hockey WA COVID-19 Update I 01/04/22

Published Fri 01 Apr 2022

Spectators are now allowed to attend outdoor community sport including hockey as part of relaxed COVID-19 restrictions around public health and social measures.

The changes, as of 31 March 2022, will positively impact the greater hockey community across the state.

Indoor sport COVID-19 requirements are as per the venue requirements.

For the full list of the Government’s COVID-19 changes around public health and social measures click here. From a Perth Hockey Stadium perspective it is important to note that up-to-date Proof of Vaccination is required in order to enter any licenced area. Hockey WA has amended its licenced area to enable spectators and players to easily enter the venue.

Hockey WA appreciates all stakeholders’ patience and understanding around COVID-19 challenges and requirements.

It is imperative that all patrons note that consumption of alcohol remains restricted to the bar and grandstand area. It would be greatly appreciated if patrons at Perth Hockey Stadium over the weekend, attending the Ric Charlesworth Classic, could assist by ensuring:

  • When entering the bar /café at  Perth Hockey Stadium that you are able to provide a current Proof of Vaccination
  • That no alcohol is taken outside of the bar/café or grandstand area (there is no consumption allowed on the grass banks or at Perth Hockey Stadium 2).

Please note that the rules being applied by Hockey WA are in conjunction with the directions provided by the State Government, please treat our staff with respect as they do not write the rules; they are merely trying to apply the rules on behalf of Hockey WA
