Hockey WA is proud to announce the return of the Men's Under-25 Invitational Tour to Bangalore, India taking place in January 2026!

Following the success of the men’s tour earlier this year, another opportunity to experience a unique blend of high=performance hockey, cultural exchange, and international collaboration awaits.

This tour is made possible through our ongoing partnership with the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and a new Memorandum of Association with Hockey India.

As part of our Asian Engagement strategy, our athletes will train and compete alongside India’s National Centres of Excellence (NCOE) – a rare and prestigious opportunity.


What’s Included

Location: Bangalore, India
Duration: 10 days
Activities:

  • Competitive matches against Indian teams
  • Joint training sessions with NCOE athletes
  • Video analysis and tactical workshops
  • Cultural immersion experiences

Support Team:
Each tour will be led by a Head Coach, supported by an Assistant Coach/Team Manager and a Hockey WA staff member.


Costs & Inclusions

  • Estimated Cost: $3,500 per athlete
    (Includes flights, insurance, admin, and off-field support)
  • In-Country Expenses: Covered by SAI (accommodation, meals, local transport)
  • Visa: Approx. $40–$50 (paid separately)
  • Uniforms: Provided by Hockey WA (Tour Shirt, Walkout Shorts, Midlayer Top – to be returned post-tour)

Invoices will be issued in two parts. If payment deadlines are a concern, please contact the Hockey WA Finance team to discuss options.


Who Can Apply?

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Aged 20–25 years
  • Must have been previously selected for an Under 18 Gold team, an Under 21 squad(top 30), or be a current player in the Stiles Electrical Premier League Men's competition.
  • No underage athletes permitted
  • Final selection by Hockey WA, WAIS, and Hockey Australia technical leads

Note: There will be no trials. Selection is based on past national age-level performance.

 

Travel Requirements

All selected athletes must hold a valid Australian passport with at least six months’ validity beyond the tour dates.
