Important Parking & Access Changes at Perth Hockey Stadium

Published Wed 28 Jan 2026

Construction of the new Australian Hockey Centre is officially underway. As a result, there will be changes to parking and venue access at Perth Hockey Stadium (PHS) throughout the construction period effective from Tuesday 3 March, 2026. These arrangements will remain in place until early 2029, with adjustments made as required.

Please review the following key updates to help you plan your visit.

Parking Availability

The red zone on the above map indicates the construction site. This area is strictly off-limits for all parking and thoroughfare.

Green zones represent the main parking areas that will remain available for PHS patrons. As most hockey activity occurs after 4.00pm on weekdays and across weekends, we do not anticipate major conflicts with Curtin University parking.

A dedicated "Permit Only" parking zone will be reserved exclusively for:

  • Hockey Australia athletes for early morning & late afternoon training sessions and,
  • Wednesday Masters participants

Access to this area is permit-only and must not be used by other patrons. Permits have been issued to Hockey Australia athletes and Wednesday Masters participants..

Venue Access Points

Three access points to PHS are identified on the map by yellow triangles.

To improve safety and manage patron flow, Hockey WA will operate both access points during the construction phase. Opening additonal gates is intended to ease congestion and support patrons arriving from both the eastern and western parking zones.

We acknowledge this represents a change to usual access arrangements and appreciate your cooperation.

Accessible Parking

Three accessible parking bays will be temporarily relocated to the blue zone on the map.

The bays total 14m in width and are positioned close to the access gate off University Boulevard for improved convenience.

Alternative Parking Options

Limited alternative parking will be available within Curtin University, as shown on the map.

All visitors/vehicles to Curtin University on weekdays between 8am and 4:30pm, not parked in the PHS specific parking bays, will be required to register their vehicles and pay for parking.

Parking within Curtin University's green parking zones costs 84 cents per hour, capped at $4.20 per day. Yellow parking zones cost $1.68 per hour. Please note that there will be no charge for parking after 4:30pm and before 8am.

Visitors have to register on www.cellopark.com.au to use the service. More information regarding the cellopark service can be found here.

All vehicles not registered and not paid for will be fined by Curtin University.

Plan Ahead

We strongly encourage members, athletes, coaches, officials and visitors to:

  • Allow extra travel and parking time before training, competitions, programs or events
  • Follow all on-site signage and instructions from Hockey WA staff
