Stiles Electrical Premier League Round 10 wrap

Round 10 of the Stiles Electrical Premier League brought plenty of action despite the wintry conditions, with several intriguing matchups unfolding across the grounds. Here's how it all played out.
Women's
Melville bounced back from a tough Round 9 defeat with a hard-fought 1-0 win over an undermanned Whitford side in Round 10 of the 2025 Stiles Electrical Premier League, held at Melville Toyota Stadium on Saturday, 21 June.
Both teams came out with attacking intent, creating an end-to-end battle early on. Despite several promising moves, the deadlock remained until the 17th minute, when Chloe Forbes broke through with a well-taken field goal to give Melville the lead.
Whitford pushed hard for an equaliser, but Melville’s defence stood tall, maintaining their 1-0 advantage into halftime.
The second half saw Whitford continue to press, but they struggled to break down Melville’s disciplined backline. While Melville had chances to extend their lead, Whitford’s defence held firm, keeping the contest tight until the final whistle.
In the end, Forbes’ early strike proved decisive, as Melville held on to claim a narrow but valuable win.
Elsewhere around the grounds, Hale delivered a dominant 7-0 performance against North Coast Raiders, while Suburban Lions held firm to secure a 2-0 win over YMCC. Westside Wolves continued their unbeaten streak with a composed 2-0 victory over WASPS, and Victoria Park rounded out the action with a solid 2-0 win against Reds.
Men's
In a gripping, rain-soaked encounter at Melville Toyota Stadium, Melville and Whitford played out a dramatic 3-3 draw in Round 10 of the 2025 Stiles Electrical Premier League on Saturday, 21 June.
From the opening whistle, both sides showed attacking intent despite the challenging conditions. The deadlock was broken late in the first quarter when Luke Milne converted a penalty corner to give Whitford a 1-0 lead.
Whitford continued their momentum into the second quarter, with Milne striking again from another penalty corner in the 21st minute. Bailey Dixon then added a field goal to extend the visitors’ lead to 3-0 by halftime.
After an extended break, Melville returned with renewed determination. James Day finally got them on the board with a well-executed penalty corner goal. The comeback continued as captain Tim Geers found the net with a field goal, cutting the deficit to one by the end of the third quarter.
With the rain still falling and the intensity rising, Melville completed the comeback in the final term thanks to a composed finish from Kirby Hobbs. Both teams pushed hard for a winner in the closing stages, but neither could break the deadlock, leaving the points shared in a thrilling 3-3 draw.
Elsewhere around the grounds, Hale secured a convincing 4-0 win over North Coast Raiders, while YMCC powered past Mods-OGM 8-1 in a fiery encounter. WASPS continued their strong form with a 4-2 victory over Westside Wolves, Victoria Park edged out Reds in a thrilling 5-4 contest, and Fremantle Cockburn and UWA couldn’t be separated in an entertaining 3-3 draw.
Premier Division 2
In the Women's competition, Georgina Mallon starred with a hat-trick as Westside Wolves cruised to a commanding 9-0 win over North Coast Raiders. Melville and Suburban Lions played out a tightly contested 1-1 draw, while Hale overcame Curtin University 5-2. UWA edged out Fremantle Cockburn 2-1, and a decisive goal from Mia Dellar secured a narrow 1-0 victory for Reds over Victoria Park.
In the Men's competition, Hale recorded a solid 4-0 win against Curtin University, while YMCC and Rockingham couldn’t be split in a 1-1 stalemate. Melville battled through wet conditions to hold off Whitford 2-1, and Westside Wolves matched that scoreline in their win over WASPS. Reds outgunned Victoria Park 5-3, and Fremantle Cockburn edged UWA 2-1 in a closely fought contest.
