Victoria Park held off a late push from Whitford to secure a narrow 2–1 victory in a tense clash at Troy Pickard Hockey Centre on Friday, 22 May. After an even opening period, Victoria Park began to take control, eventually breaking through in the ninth minute when Kurtis Scaini found the net with a field goal. The Panthers extended their advantage in the second quarter, with Nick Corner adding another goal to give his side a two-goal cushion at halftime. The third quarter remained fiercely contested, but both teams’ defences stood strong, preventing any change to the scoreline. Whitford lifted their intensity in the final term and managed to close the gap through a well-executed penalty corner by Denver Farmer. Despite the late pressure, Victoria Park held their nerve to see out the match and claim the 2–1 win.

The match opened with end-to-end action, but it was the Wolves who struck first, with Joe Welch converting a penalty corner late in the opening quarter. Reds looked to respond early in the second term with chances of their own, but the Wolves doubled their lead through a field goal from Tom Harvie, heading into halftime with a two-goal advantage. The Wolves maintained control in the third quarter, extending their lead further when Matthew Edgar found the back of the net. However, the final term brought a dramatic shift in momentum as Reds lifted their intensity in search of a comeback. Their persistence paid off, with James Cameron scoring a field goal before Brodee Foster converted a penalty corner to bring Reds within one. Fremantle Cockburn continued their strong run of form, overcoming Mods-OGM by two goals at Lakelands Hockey & Sporting Facility on Sunday, 24 May. The opening quarter saw both sides evenly matched, trading possession as they searched for an early breakthrough. It wasn’t until late in the second term that the deadlock was finally broken, with Fraser Heigh finding the back of the net to give Fremantle Cockburn the lead heading into halftime. Fremantle Cockburn maintained the pressure in the third quarter, earning several penalty corner opportunities. However, Mods-OGM’s defence stood tall to keep the margin at one. The Magpies eventually extended their advantage in the final quarter, with Rhys Angwin scoring a field goal to double the lead. Despite Mods-OGM’s efforts to mount a late response, Fremantle Cockburn held firm to secure the win.

YMCC defeated North Coast Raiders 8-1
YMCC extended their unbeaten run in emphatic fashion, delivering a dominant 8–1 victory over North Coast Raiders at Lemnos Field on Sunday, 24 May. The home side made an immediate impact, with Marshall Puzey opening the scoring from a penalty corner to give YMCC an early advantage. Despite the Raiders’ efforts to respond, YMCC maintained control to take a one-goal lead into the first break. The second quarter saw the hosts build momentum, with Luke Anderson converting a penalty corner before Liam Henderson added a late field goal to extend the margin. YMCC continued to dictate play in the third term, limiting the Raiders’ opportunities while adding further goals through Puzey’s second penalty corner conversion and a field strike from Timothy Fleay. The final quarter brought more of the same, as Padraig Munt found the back of the net to increase the lead. The Raiders managed a goal through a penalty corner conversion by Connor Irwin, but YMCC quickly responded. Sebastian Chandraratna added another field goal before Puzey completed his hat-trick with a third successful penalty corner. In complete control throughout, YMCC secured a comprehensive 8–1 win.

YMCC secured their second win of the season with a strong four-goal victory over North Coast Raiders at Lemnos Field on Sunday, 24 May. The opening quarter featured plenty of end-to-end action, with both sides sharing possession but unable to break the deadlock. YMCC began to assert control in the second term, creating multiple opportunities from penalty corners. Their persistence paid off when Harper Newnham found the back of the net, before Shanea Tonkin added a field goal late in the quarter to extend the lead. The third quarter saw a tightly contested battle for possession, with both teams competing strongly but neither able to add to the scoreboard. YMCC regained momentum in the final term, taking control of the match as Kerri Kinneally and Carlie Ferguson each scored field goals to seal a comprehensive win.

Suburban Lions extended their unbeaten run with a dominant six-goal victory over Fremantle Cockburn at Lakelands Hockey and Sporting Facility on Sunday, 24 May. Fremantle Cockburn threatened early with a series of penalty corner opportunities, but it was the Lions who struck first, with Ashlee Jarvis opening the scoring via a field goal. Courtney Schonell soon added a second from a well-executed penalty corner to give the visitors a 2–0 lead at quarter time. The second quarter saw an evenly contested battle, with both sides sharing possession but unable to add to the scoreboard. The Lions shifted gears in the third term, taking full control of the match. Jolie Sertorio converted a penalty corner before Schonell notched her second goal from another set piece. Sertorio then added a field goal to stretch the margin further. Fremantle Cockburn managed a response through Jenna-Rae McIntyre, but the Lions still led comfortably at 5–1 heading into the final break.
