Published Tue 24 Mar 2026

The stage is set for another action-packed year of elite hockey as the 2026 TeamStar Premier League prepares to showcase the state’s top talent across an electrifying season.

Both the Men’s and Women’s competitions will once again run across 22 rounds, delivering months of high-intensity clashes, fierce rivalries and top-tier performances.

The campaign opens with a Gala Round in late March, setting the tone before the official season launch in April. Fans will also be treated to two Midweek Fixture rounds, giving supporters even more opportunities to see their club’s best players under the lights.

With rising stars ready to break through and every match shaping the road to finals, the 2026 TeamStar Premier League is primed for a thrilling ride from start to finish.

Men’s

The battle for supremacy is back – and the Men’s competition is shaping up to be an absolute blockbuster in 2026.

All 12 powerhouse clubs return for another season of high-stakes, high-speed hockey: UWA, Victoria Park, Fremantle Cockburn, YMCC, Melville, Reds, Westside Wolves, Hale, WASPS, Whitford, North Coast Raiders and Mods-OGM.

Reigning premiers UWA enter the new campaign on the hunt for a historic three‑peat after going back‑to‑back in 2025, sealing their title with a composed 2–0 Grand Final win over Victoria Park. Victoria Park once again proved themselves as top‑tier challengers, finishing runners‑up in both the regular season and finals, while Fremantle Cockburn and YMCC rounded out a fiercely competitive top four.

Melville, Reds, Westside Wolves and Hale formed a tightly contested mid‑table pack, each capable of shaking up the ladder in 2026, while WASPS, Whitford, North Coast Raiders and Mods‑OGM will be eager to climb the standings and disrupt the established order.

With every club reloading and rivalries intensifying, the 2026 season promises to be one of the most competitive Men’s TeamStar Premier League campaigns yet.

Women’s

The Women’s competition is set for another thrilling chapter in 2026, expanding once again to a 12‑team competition.

This year’s contenders include Westside Wolves, Hale, Suburban Lions, Victoria Park, UWA, WASPS, Reds, YMCC, Melville, North Coast Raiders, Whitford and newly promoted Fremantle Cockburn, who earned their place in the top flight after a standout 2025 season that culminated in a Premier Division 2 Grand Final appearance.

Reigning premiers Westside Wolves charge into the season with confidence after securing back‑to‑back titles in 2025, edging out Hale in a gripping 3–2 Grand Final. Hale once again proved themselves among the league’s elite, while Suburban Lions and Victoria Park rounded out a dynamic top four that produced tight matchups week after week.

UWA and WASPS anchored a competitive mid‑table group, joined closely by Reds and YMCC — all clubs with the firepower to shake up the ladder in 2026. Melville, North Coast Raiders and Whitford will be pushing hard to climb the standings, adding further intrigue to an already fiercely contested competition.

With new talent emerging, rivalries deepening, and Fremantle Cockburn eager to make their mark in the top division, the 2026 Women’s TeamStar Premier League promises a season full of intensity, momentum swings and must‑watch hockey.
