Get ready for an exciting opportunity to refine your hockey skills and prepare for the 2025 State Under 16 team selection trials! The Under 16 Training Camp will take place on 11th and 12th December 2024 at the Perth Hockey Stadium, designed specifically for players looking to hone their abilities ahead of the trials scheduled for 14th and 15th December 2024, and January 2025.

Camp Overview

Camp Dates:

• Wednesday, 11th December 2024 – PHS Turf 1
• Thursday, 12th December 2024 – PHS Turf 1

Training Focus

This two-day training camp will cover key areas to help athletes sharpen their game and increase their readiness for the upcoming trials. The focus will be on:

• Stick and Ball Skills: Essential skill refinement to build a strong technical foundation.
• Mini Games: Strategy-based play to enhance decision-making in tight situations.
• Specialist Skills: Focus on goal-scoring techniques, penalty corner development, and shootout scenarios.
• Match Preparation & Post-Match Recovery: Tips on preparing mentally and physically for high-level matches and the importance of recovery.
• Positional Education & Expectations: Insights into the roles and expectations for each position on the field.

Training Schedule

Training Times:

• 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM each day

What to Bring

To ensure you're fully prepared for the camp, make sure to bring the following items:

• Protective gear (shin guards, mouthguard, etc.)
• Water bottle to stay hydrated
• A white and color shirt for training sessions
• Notepad and pen to jot down key points

Training Cost

• Full Camp (2 days): $95
• Day Rate: $50 per session (please inform us in advance if you plan to attend on a single day)
