Hockey WA is seeking Expressions of Interest from athletes who are considering trialling fo rthe 2026/7 Indoor State Teams.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing shortage of suitable indoor venues, we have made the difficult decision that indoor competitions are unlikely to proceed this season.  While this is disappointing for our indoor hockey community, it will enable ou State Teams to have greater access to training opportunities as they prepare for the National Indoor Championships, to be held in Melbourne in January 2027,

As part of our planning Hocky WA is also investigating opportunities to secure indoor training facilities in Melbourne prior to the commencement of the Championships, alowing teams additional preparation time in a competition environment.

Before finalising a training program, we are seeking EOI from players wh are considering participating in the State Team trial process. This information will assist us in developing an appropriate program and ensuring training opportunities are tailored to the level of interest received.

Following the EOI process, further information will be provided regarding:

• Skill development
• State Team trials
• Squad selection and
• Team training programs
