The Youth International Gryphon Cup (formerly known as the F-H-E Cup and Gryphon Cup) was established in Western Australia as the nation’s premier international junior hockey tournament. Traditionally held as an under-16 competition for boys and girls at Perth Hockey Stadium, the tournament has welcomed national and state representative teams from across Australia, as well as international teams from Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Over the years, the Cup has grown in prestige, with increasing participation from interstate and overseas teams, along with a rise in associated visitors and supporters.

Building on the tremendous success of the 2024 tournament, Hockey WA aims to position the Youth International Gryphon Cup as Asia’s leading youth hockey event—a platform for young athletes to compete, develop their skills, and connect with fellow aspiring international players.

The 2025 Youth Cup is set to feature teams from across Australasia, further cementing its reputation as a cornerstone of youth hockey development in the region.
