Hockey WA – Panel Umpire Recruitment for the 2026 Season

Hockey WA is seeking committed and capable umpires to join our panels for the 2026 season. All games officiated are paid appointments, with opportunities to progress into higher‑level competitions and development pathways.

To be considered, participants should meet the following expectations:

2. Attend pre-season and in-season development sessions
   Umpires will be required to attend the pre-season umpire briefing as well as any additional workshops or education sessions scheduled throughout the 2026 season.

3. Be available to umpire regularly
   While we understand other commitments may arise, we encourage umpires to make themselves available regularly to support consistent development and appointment opportunities.

4. Be capable of umpiring at a standard  of J11/12 Division 1 or Premier Three Grade standard.
   Umpires should already be proficient at a level where the focus shifts toward developing advanced skills, rather than teaching basic umpiring technique.

5. Maintain a professional standard at all times
   This includes professional appearance, punctuality, and respectful communication with players, coaches, fellow umpires, and umpire coaches.

All games are paid, and umpires will have access to structured development opportunities, coaching support, and pathways for progression.
