TeamStar to transform the Premier League in landmark multi-year deal

Published Fri 06 Mar 2026

As Australia’s finest hockey talent gear up for an action-packed club season, Hockey WA is thrilled to welcome sports team management tool TeamStar as a major sponsor.

TeamStar has signed on as the Naming Rights Sponsor of Hockey WA’s Premier League Men’s and Women’s competitions until 2028, with the competition to now be known as the TeamStar Premier League.

The sponsorship builds on the successful collaboration formed in 2025, when Hockey WA joined forces with TeamStar to develop an integrated digital platform that streamlines club administration and enhances fixture management across Hockey WA’s competitions.

“Hockey WA’s trust in TeamStar through our technology partnership is a milestone we’re genuinely proud of,” said Peter Hudson, Founder and Director, TeamStar

“As Major Sponsor, we’re committed to backing the sport with technology that strengthens participation, improves operations, and supports volunteers and administrators across all areas of the game.

"It’s a privilege to work closely with Hockey WA to help make a real difference to the sport we love.”

Hockey WA Chief Executive Graham Reid said strengthening the partnership with TeamStar is a fantastic step forward for the sport.

“The TeamStar Premier League is the pinnacle of club hockey in WA, and having a partner like TeamStar behind it adds enormous value for our athletes, clubs and supporters,” he said.

“Throughout 2025, we’ve worked closely with TeamStar to introduce digital match cards and enhance how our competitions are delivered.

"Using TeamStar’s competition, management and eligibility tools have already made a significant impact in supporting our clubs and streamlining the experience for participants.

“Their commitment to innovation and community aligns perfectly with our vision for hockey in Western Australia.

“To see that relationship now evolve into a naming rights partnership for the next three seasons is incredibly exciting.

“We’re proud to align with a WA business that is genuinely invested in the growth of our game, and we look forward to seeing the TeamStar Premier League elevated even further over the next three years.”
